What happens when a career military officer steps out of combat zones and dives into psychological fiction?
Hi, I’m Ken Webb. I’m a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel with 33 years of service, including deployments to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kosovo. I also retired from American Airlines. After six months of contracting work, I decided to stop surviving and start creating.
I live in Miraflores, Lima, Peru, and work full time on finishing my debut novel, Trapped in Deception. It’s a psychological thriller built on real-world experience, and it explores betrayal, manipulation, and silent battles people fight in their minds. It combines veteran insight, emotional intelligence, and storytelling with impact.
One of the clearest lessons I learned in combat is this. You don’t always get time to make things perfect. You act. You lead. You get it done. If you wait too long, execution loses its value. That mindset drives my approach to writing and to life.
If your podcast covers veterans, mental toughness, leadership under pressure, trauma recovery, or the transition from military to civilian life, I bring firsthand experience and a unique perspective as a debut author.
